Moving Composition.

By Julia Kalache
Moving Composition is an on going exploration of collaborative composition making. Guests are invited to enter the installation space or dance floor and move the shapes of fabrics on show. The space is continuously ‘dressed’ by the guests, changing and evolving the composition.

Materials: Lycra fabric.

The sound score was crated by recording sounds of the fabric and of exercise mats sweeping across the floor. These sounds were mixed in patterns that evoke the rolling waves of the sea.

This concept was originally developed in 2009 for Gener8: Costume Design and Dance
